There was an 8 hour live broadcast of KBC's 「Manatsu Eco Special - Mizu to Midori no Monogatari」!
For Fukuoka's big event,
This year we sang the theme song.

If it wasn't for Fukuoka,
If it wasn't for this event,
If it wasn't for this live here,
If it weren't for everyone always supporting us throughout the country,
It would have been an unfound treasure.
Our song called Welcome home that would not have existed in this world.

We participated in this event,
And once again we took notice of what's most precious,
And exchanged love that's about to overflow.
What's precious is always unexpectedly right next to you.



This event's t-shirt,
An English translation of the lyrics for Welcome home was printed on the back♪
This is a first.
I'm very happy. It's inspiring.
As I thought, an idea like this is one example of how there is love. It's wonderful.

Everyone who came out for the live,
Everyone who watched from in front of the TV,
And everyone in places where they couldn't watch that sent messages, thank you!
There were definitely a lot of people who saw us for the first time.
I wonder if they had fun.

Once Again

We're in Fukuoka!



We're had a TV recording at KBC from morning,
The makeup person also arrived.
Commercials and TV programs, we recorded various things.
Without pause,
We had the honour of doing a great many appearances for Fukuoka's TV scene.
Watching the TV in the dressing room,
We were shown on it again for an hour . So surprising.
I'm really happy.



We're stiring up Fukuoka more and more.

In the evening we went to a small party at the home of our staff with whom we are always indebted to.



We ate a lot of home cooked food.
Prepared with skills that will put a pro to shame, it was delicious. Kyaa.!
We had so much fun!

Hello.

Yesterday I went to get a massage.
I fell sound asleep so I don't know if I really did get a massage or not,
But my body did feel lighter♪

What has everyone been doing for obon vacation?
We're doing the same as usual.
A crowd of people that match the streets of Tokyo was somehow a feeling of being broke.
I wonder if everyone's returning HOME.

I too, as soon as possible,
Want to go back home.
To Nara, where everyone precious to me lives.
My little brother who was just born this April,
Who I've been separated from and haven't been able to meet even once since I turned 20, and the things I want to talk about with everyone in the house have increased. I have a feeling.

Speaking of which,
Something occured to me tonight.
Or rather I was struck with the idea,
"It's not like this!"
An idea that's like me.
There's still much more fun to come this month.

When we first started the band,
Doing lives and going on yearly tours, there are things I feel sometimes.

I want to show my past self our lives.

School, club activities, time to yourself,
Feeling depressed and having trouble with friends, family, and yourself.
I can't put it into words well,
But the same repeating days
A habit that arbitrarily turns into loneliness starts, and feelings inconveniently jump out.
You unexpectedly hurt people,
And you're wounded again.

Though you know what to do, things just don't go well.
It's the same for me too. I'm stopping those kinds of things now.
There are nights where, in contrast to feelings, tears precede.

I didn't know how I could escape from there.
I still don't know the correct answer even now.

But,
Lives always give me a hint.
That is,
Us standing on stage,
And everyone who came to experience that too.
Definitely, they've come for that.
There are different kinds of days, I know.
Because you go to where you live.

A day of change

Today we had a fitting.
Our uniforms are steadily increasing.
Depending on situations,

Summer memories

Exciting Summer in WAJIKI'12 @ Tokushima prefecture's Otsuka Pharmaceutical Tokushima Wajiki Factory - Outdoor Stage,
I'm glad I was able to see everyone that had gatheredー!
Lately we've had many festivals and events,
But I'm truly happy that we're welcomed warmly wherever we go. That's what I feel.



A festival that started from an early time.
The timetable was very healthy.
It was so hot and felt like smoke.
I think it was definitely harder on the guests.



I'm glad that so many people stayed until we went on at the very end.
There were a lot.
Thank you for keeping on for a long time!
There was a mix of SCANDAL towels along with other artists' towels,
And that round and round of other bands made for nice scenery.
I again became passionate about performing.

Lastly was the unexpected encore!
We hadn't prepared anything
But, at any rate, we were happy, and the members rushed back out on stage.
We had a public meeting for about 10 seconds on stage. haha
Then, we went crazy with everyone there with Space Ranger♪
Everyone was really the best.



We received letters and presentsー! I'm reading themー! I'm happy♪

Well, then,



Heading back, there was a storm.

Seriously,
Whenever the band plays, it looks like we don't need to rely on the weather forecast. The day of a live ＝ rain.
Our live schedule,
It's equal to next week's weather forecast for the entire country.

Girls rock

Everyone who gathered at Shibuya AX,
Thank you.
I was glad to meet those who will always love girls rock.
There were people who came from all overー.
I hope the people who came from far away returned home safely.



Today we were the last band to go on.
We were able to bring a rocking and HAPPY close to the show.



For the encore,
We did Genkai LOVERS with Terada-neesan and Asakura-san,
And we played Rock 'N' Roll Widow with all the drum sets.
It was very intense.



Recently, the opportunities to play songs together with many different people have increased, and that makes me very motivated, makes me stronger, and it helps me. It makes me very happy.

Many ideas are being swiftly decided and going into effect, and
I've been devoting my best to them.
I'm glad we did all of them.



As for me,
When playing drums, the first thing I hear in a song is not the bass nor the guitar.
Monitors also make it like so.
That's why in the past I was reluctant to change vocals or add things. That easy-to-sing beat resounded and really made me feel uneasy.

But tonight I became aware of the me who wasn't worrying and was enjoying myself.
Collaborations and covers really are special and make your heart throb. As always.
Because drums are very important.

When everything was over,
I felt slightly relieved and thought "I love livesー"; I didn't want to say bye to everyoneー. haha

Saturday night

The summer sunshine shone today too.
I went to POOL.
Settling down in the salon. Refreshing.
But, as I thought,
Midsummer afternoons are intense.
After I ran my errands, I went home.
You guys haven't been suffering from summer heat and such, right? Are you okay?

And,
Taking an afternoon nap, before I knew it,
I woke up in the evening. haha

Usually when I'm off, it always passes feeling like that.
It seems like a phantom day.

But tonight was a bit different♪



Suga Shikao-san and I went out to eat.
He's a wonderful senpai.
He's often been to our lives,
Listened to our albums, and reads our blog.
Really, always,
I'm thankful he's so loving.
Anyway, I was happy that he's really looking forward to Pin Heel Surfer.
We talked about a lot of things today.
I learned a lot.
It was a really great time.

One Real Intention

FNS Summer Song Festival,
Thank you to peoples who watched the long hour live broadcast of the show.
And thanks for warm welcoming from everyone at the venue.
I'm glad seeing those SCANDAL's towel!
Then,
Thanks a lot to every staffs who created the stage, apply trial and error repeatedly, supported us with their utmost effort without even sleep,
And to the most, the strongest from every performers, thank you very much.



I'm so glad I play band, and I've already thought about that many times.
Even on today.
Though it's on the big or small live event, a short show or a one man show, a flashy or even a natural show,
I absolutely love to stand on the stage so much.
Even on back then when I haven't know yet anything about songs, I become extremely love it.
I already think that I don't want this feelings to be interrupt anywhere.
There's no finish line to love it.



It's an honor for us to be called in this such lovely show.
It looks lovely. The whole of it.
And to that extent, number of the peoples on the live broadcast, and number of the songs on the live performances are quite enormous,
but we made it, we've done it.
Fuji TV's just too awesome.



Well,
I haven't said about this anywhere else until now,
But, I, really loved Ayumi Hamasaki since long ago.
Or perhaps I should say, "She's the first artist I like and first person I admire, and she's cool!". She's the first person that mesmerized me.
I even have her live DVD, her records, magazine, and her goods.
Because of those impact and radiance that struck my heart, now I'm back as RINA again.

‘SCANDAL’ first impressions most likely would get misunderstood easily.
Particularly, on our debut, which was kinda really intriguing me.
Which are likely to be seen in the halfway.
Though four of us really love to play intense Band sounds,
But if we answer that our favorite artist is anything other than a band, it would sounds weird, isn't it?
Yes, it would.

I surely don't have self confidence,
But I think we just don't wanna lose, and it's just a wrong way to sharpen ourself.
Well, right now you can say anything.
And today, I felt a great happiness deep in my heart, to be on the same stage with Ayumi Hamasaki.



I'll listen to anything.
It must be a lucky life if you like anything and there's nothing you hate.
The food, people and even the music.



It was a dream world.
I'd love to stay in here for another 5 or 10 more years.

A mystery's melting temperature

I'm surprised we made it.

It's so much hotter here than in Okinawa.

I feel that summer's a better season than spring to start anew.

We went to Yoyogi Gymnasium.

We went to the rehearsals for FNS Uta no Natsu Matsuri.

A flashy set as usual,

And there are many fantastic artists.
